International Day of People with a Disability is a UN sanctioned day on the 3rd of December which aims to promote understanding, acceptance and public awareness of people with a disability. It is also a time to celebrate the their achievements and contributions to society.
Accuro Homecare is a proud employer of Direct Support Workers who have a disability and has joined the "Inclusive 100" initiative started by Castle Personnel. The aim of this initiative is to get 100 companies in the region to commit to increase the employment and social inclusion of people living with a disability. On the 3rd of December, Castle will be hosting a free BBQ in celebration of IDPWD. Gold coin donations will go to the Samaritan's ARAFMI service. All are welcome to attend. There will be easy access for all abilities and activities to enjoy.
